What better timing than dis to start writing….Well…What can I say… the countdown has begun…30 days from today I will bid adieu to my city..Thane..(If unkown with the term Thane and wondering what it is..read Mumbai)….I wonder how come many of them still are unaware of a place called Thane… Okay back to the point..I am countin my days here… Months back..to be precise on 24th Jan..i got placed in TCS…the kinda bucks that they offered I was willing to travel to any part of India…not knowing what it would feel to go away from ur parents and importantly Friends… 3 locations were on offer(or shud I say mentioned.. cus v neva got to choose da location..) So Mumbai..Bangalore and Chennai were the locations and I dreaded Chennai the most as it is quite different to Mumbai or for that matter Thane.. The reviews about Bangalore were quite happening…so it didn’t bother me much…
I kept prayin hard for Mumbai…But lik always God had different plans…He said O boy remember Till date u have neva got served on a silver platter..(Wil update on that in other posts…)
Not to my surprise I knew Mumbai was not the location I was chosen for(as per above Silver Platter statement) so my eyes started searchin for the word Bangalore in the offer letter…..Poking further I noticed the word Chennai that was highlighted in my offer letter and there it was staring at me ….the city I dreaded the most was my work location. Sometimes our eyes just don’t seem to notice the words that they don’t want to see even if they are highlighted..In my case the word was Chennai…The news spread among my friends and I got mixed reviews about the city..Some encouraging rather sympathetic while some left me gasping for air especially when one of my friend said…u r screwed man..royally at that..
The thought of relocating to Chennai had vanished in the backdrop as I was enjoyin my life wid my friends partyin and roaming around for last 3 months…until I woke up this morning and realized Gosh..only one month away from the Land of Rajnikanta…(Talkin of Chennai, he had to b mentioned in this writeup or else it wud hav been an offence on my part)… The Countdown has really begun….
